LOAD OF THE WEEK- 07/17/2009   

BP’S creative juices created ripping 12-gauge ULTRA-DOVE loads.   Reloader D.S. pointed out a need for similar ULTRA-DOVE loads in the 20-gauge.  Could BP do it?   The lab is crushed with a seven-day week work load - but nevertheless produced 20-gauge ULTRA-DOVE loads.  C leaped on these loads and quickly applied them to Sporting Clays.  He picked a tough day.  High winds and cold temps.  (Forty-five knot gusts and 62F).   He chose a difficult station to “proof” high-speed, light weight loads of #9 lead shot.   A report pair, left to right crossing 25-30 yards and boosted directly from behind by the winds.   C drilled the clays 8 for 8.  He pointed out, “The ULTRA-DOVE20 made these clays, easy!”  To prove his point he handed his shotgun (Beretta 20GA Onyx O/U 28” barrels, IMP/CYL & MOD) plus ULTRA-DOVE loads to a teammate.   The clays were once again quickly demolished.   A third shooter tried the arrangement.  Same result.  The team wants more ULTRA-DOVE loads for high-speed crossing clays and those pesky Doves.     

[Lab notes:  Electronic pressure and speed testing equipment demonstrate extraordinary close numbers with each shot, in both pressure and velocity.  Based upon these figures the lab was not surprised to learn of C’s field results.]
