LOAD OF THE WEEK- 07/24/2009   

Okay – okay!  So the 28 and 16 gauge shooters felt left out of ULTRA-DOVE creation.   (Also called FLASH loads.)  Fear naught!  Here you are.   ULTRA-DOVE 28 and 16 gauge loads for feathered and Sporting Clay targets.  

A special note regarding the 28-gauge high velocity loads.  It seems the loads were best put together (then tested) by placing a nitro card (NC28) on top of the shot and just under the fold crimp.  The load took the crimp smartly and retained firm crimps.  (One PB load is an exception to placing the NC28 on top.)  The shot column sweeps aside the nitro card and no interference was noted.   

Also note FLASH loads (including all ULTRA DOVE loads) of in all gauges were fired through over/under shotguns.  No automatic action shotguns were tested.  The timing and impact of lightweight, swift loads may hinder the functionality of some automatic actions.
