The Multi-Hull is a deep-based hull with a plastic disk base wad, most often referred to as a Riefenhauser type. It’s a durable design, easy to crimp, not susceptible to moisture and offers space required by high-performance loads. The Multi-Hull is ideal for the broad demands of high performance shotshells – clay sports, gamebirds and slugs. The Multi-Hull crimps easily; 6, 8 or roll, with adequate sidewall strength to avoid collapse or creases at the final crimp station. Excellent crimps are imperative on hunting loads in order to initiate a proper powder combustion cycle, whether with slow-burning magnums in the field or intense light fast loads on the range.
We understand that you want to simplify your reloading. You want a performance hull you can load for clays or hunting. You want tested data that is designed for a specific hull and a specific combination of components. You want to be able to make loads that you can pick up, know exactly what it is and how it will perform. It is for these shotgunners we have developed the Multi-Hulls. These hulls are manufactured to strict BPI specifications to be ballistically uniform, regardless of tube color or brass height.
Multi-Hulls have a 209 primer that is comparable (i.e. produces inconsequential differences) with Nobel Sport 209, Winchester 209, CCI 209 and Cheddite 209 primers. Any of the above mentioned primers may be used where the MH209 primer designation is shown.
