The key to performance is to understand the nature of steel shot pellets. Since steel shot pellets are lighter than lead, velocity is the key to making lethal steel shot loads. BPI has created component-specific 12-gauge steel loads with performance standards well above and beyond factory-loaded ammunition. This is possible when mass-production is removed from the process. High-performance requires hand-assembly. This particular HITS series 1-1/8oz. load, at 1520-fps, is the perfect balance of weight and speed for waterfowl. One field tester recorded 40 big northern mallards with only 50 shots. We are proud to have this load as the first of our HITS Master series
