Description:

The BP2094 Sabre is our premier 7/8 oz 20ga target and light field wad. We have load data ranging from 7/8 ounce on up to 1-1/8 ounce (in 3" configurations). The adjustable honeycomb cushion section is extremely flexible and allows for wide versatility. The BP2094 is longer than the BP2093 and designed more for target load payloads. The advanced cushioning system reduces initial pressure spikes and allows our ballistic lab wide versatility and velocity ranges. The Sabre is preslit with four tabbed slits with quick-opening petals. A reinforced deep-set obturator section assures consistency propellant burns and reduced powder migration.

Curmudgeon's Reloading Tips:

TYPE: Taper = 7/8, straight = 7/8 to 1-1/8 oz. (in 3"). The BP2094 expands upon the 20ga repertoire with larger capacities for lead target & field loads. The PT2094 Sabre's overall length is 1.533" with a multi-compacting cushion section (.560") The BP2094 wad loads 7/8 ounce perfectly in taper-wall hulls (Win WAA-HS & Rem STS) using intermediate to slow burn rate powders and 7/8 to 1-ounce loads in straight-wall (Fiocchi, Cheddite, Federal) hulls. Best utilized propellants are intermediate burn rate. Velocity charts show a range of 1200 FPS to 1450 FPS with 7/8 ounce loads.

Finally a wad that worked 12/16/2024
I was having a lot of problems with stack height and federal hulls. Using 20 ga hulls from federal valu packs, Longshot powder, and these wads I finally got my height right for 1 ounce. I was hoping my height would be correct for 7/8 ounce but I really am ok w 1 ounce. Truth be told I rather have the option of 1 ounce than not.
