Detailed Description

BRP-12 12 Gauge Wad (250/bag)

The BRP-12 is a subtle design variation of the Original 12ga Brush Wad. It is a symmetrical double-ended gas seal with a G-type impact reduction chamber.  The cushion sections are almost identical to the Brush Wad. In fact, it is molded in green resin so that a clear distinction can be made between the two wads.

Since it is symmetrical, the BRP-12 can be loaded either up or down; no orientation is required when loading.  It is ideal for short-range brush loads because it evenly distributes pellets for effective lethal shots at ranges of 10-35 yards.   It is especially effective on first-shot upland loads, rabbit stations, and short to mid-range springing targets.   The BRP-12  also excels for shots such as grouse, quail, pheasant, and woodcock.   For even greater spread try supplementing it with the X-Stream Spreader Insert with any load.

The BRP-12 is different from the BW12 in that the top and bottom surfaces are flat. This completely cupless design makes it even better for buckshot loads and as a cushioned gas seal platform for many slug loads. This is one of our most versatile wads.

Excellent Gas Seal and Brush Wad for Slugs 11/17/2025
These BRP-12 Double ended Gas Seal/Brush wads are amazing, they made my reloading process super simple. One word of caution these are intended for tapered shells, if you intend to use them with a straight wall case be sure to add a thin overshot card to prevent powder migration.. The BRP-12 measures around .720 in Diameter perfect for tapered wall hulls, but a straight wall hull needs at least .727-.740 for a tight seal. I used these to load the Valu-Slug Federal Power Shok Sabot Slugs in 3.5 SuperMag utilizing a brand new Cheddite 3.5 Straight Walled Hulls, Cheddite CX2000 209 Primer, 48 Grains of Military Exclusive Proprietary Smokeless Powder, 1 Thin Overshot Card, 1 BRP-12 Gas Seal/Brush Wad, 2 Waxed 1/8 Nitro Cards, 1 Thin . 70 Diameter Aluminum Disk, followed by the amazing 482 Grain Federal Power-Shok Sabot Slug rolled crimped using Nick Ross 4-Pin Roll Crimper. Muzzle Velocity 1750 fps pressure 12,900 PSI from a custom 12GA 3.5 Chamber Heavy Walled 24 Fully Rifled Barrel . This load is definitely not for the faint of heart, and I highly recommend a LIMBSAVER pad. Words of CAUTION do not try to duplicate this load using inferior thin walled barrels, safety for yourself and others is our highest priority as professional shooters. Thank you for supporting America and its Armed Forces!!
