Cheddite 12ga 65mm (2-1/2") new/primed 12mm brass hulls (100/bag)
  • Top Edge: Skived
  • Brass: 12mm
  • Length: 65mm or 2.555" (prior to crimp)
  • Primer: Cheddite-209
  • Headstamp: "12 (stars)" generic
  • Wall Thickness: 0.030"
  • Tube colors: Orange & Vert Pearl

Cheddite produces high quality hulls of all gauges and lengths for manufacturing clients all over the world. They produce well over a billion hulls every year. These are reliable straight-wall hulls; extremely versatile for almost all load types. They are skived and crimp easily with a fold or roll.

Crimping: We prefer using a Super Crown Crimp Starter on new tubes because they generally need a little extra crimp memory. Roll crimps also work very well on these hulls.

Shipping: Hulls are not regulated under 49CFR Special Provision 50. This means there is NO Hazmat charge when shipped by U.S. ground service. Contains a Cheddite 209 primer (Cheddite CX2000).

SHIPPING: Ammunition or hulls shipped by ground service do not require a HazMat fee. Any ammunition shipped by air service does require an Air HazMat fee. Our sales associates can help you with any questions.

Great hulls for Spreader Sporting Clays targets 10/29/2020
I bought these to make spreader loads for Sporting Clays. They load easily and roll crimp fantastically. Im primarily using a load of 20.0 grains of Clays, ScatterMaster wads and #9 nickel plated shot. I also use them with Disperser-X wads and 18.0 grains of Clays. They are dynamite on close in targets.

Great for Spreader loads 10/23/2020
I started out cutting hulls down and I still do at times to reuse once fired roll crimp hulls, but these are great for spreader loads with either the Disperser-X or Scattermaster wads. I use the orange hulls because when I started out in Sporting Clays I was buying Active Spreader shells. Those used the Disperser-X wad and they were ORANGE to distinguish them from regular loads. The habit carried forward and now I load Orange for my spreader loads. I roll crimp the hulls and they work great on the course. I have no feed problems and the roll crimps are easily applied. Coupled with the COS12 clear disk and nickel plated #9 shot they make an impressive shell and one that I use all the time for close in shots. Even rabbits are breaking better as long as they are broadside - devastating!

bought these by mistake 9/24/2013
didnt see these were 21/2 hulls. would not work in my reloader. one day i was loading black powder shot shells and gave them a try. they loaded easy and my BP roll crimper worked great. these turned out to be a great buy. i also loaded some .66 patched round balls and roll crimped them. will buy again
