Fiocchi Golden Pheasant rocks 3/23/2020
Ive used Fiocchi Golden Pheasant Nickel commercial loads in 16, 28, and now 20 ga. I was skeptical initially about Nickel performance, but in sub gauges, superior patterning, lethality, and low feather draw are even more evident than in 12 ga. Unless you reload which I do for 12 ga - all Nickel, these commercial loads are hard to beat when you want to get that special shotgun out for a hunt. Stick with #5 for cold weather/late season roosters, #7 1/2 for Chukars, Grey Partridge and kin. If you dont roll your own, this is a great alternative. Ballistic Products came through for me big time with fast delivery on Fiocchi Golden Pheasant 20 ga. #5 for a late season preserve hunt. Service counts!
