BPI has obtained a rare production run of Rio hulls with 25mm heads. This is a limited production quantity and, as a bonus, we've put a special price on them. The 25mm Ultra Brass is very strong and enhances the appearance of your best field loads. Great for steel, ITX or bismuth loads for the coming hunting season.
Our lab has produced a special load brochure of loads that were carefully selected by the staff in our ballistic lab. They are among some of the lab's current favorites, pet loads, as some might say. Of course, all our Rio 12ga 2-3/4" loads will work in these hulls.
Crimping: We prefer using a Super Crown Crimp Starter on hulls with new tubes. This is because new tubes require a little extra crimp memory in order to fold efficiently and tightly. Another great option is to roll crimp your loads with a BPI Roll Crimper and Hull Vise. Roll crimps also work very well on these hulls.
Shipping: Hulls are not regulated under 49CFR Special Provision 50. This means there is NO Hazmat charge when shipped by U.S. ground service.
Primer: These hulls come primed with a Rio 209 primer.
New & primed Rio 12ga 2.75" hulls are a great value. The hull is the most important part of your reload; don't compromise your performance with old, weak hulls. That's why we recommend starting with new/primed hulls. New hulls will always give you more loadings and because they are primed you save on your primer costs too. Remember, there is no Hazmat charge on primed hulls when shipped via ground in the continental U.S.
Rio hulls feature easy-loading straight-wall extruded tubes and deep plastic disk basewads for versatile load designs. These hulls roll or fold crimp with ease.
