They worked fine for me. 10/11/2026
I have been using the 8 mm brass red hull and have always had problems fitting them in the chamber. I switched to these black high brass hulls they drop in the chamber like factory shells.I have loaded maybe 500 cartridges and all is going well. I have always used this company’s brass crimp starter. Been using the 8 mm brass red hull four years. I will never use the red hull again.

MUST BE SKIVED EXTREMELY WELL 9/5/2026
These Hulls are not Skived and the Body of the Hull is very thin. If you do not Skive them well first, they will crush just above the Base in the Final Crimp Stage, regardless if you have a reinforcement Tube or not. They are descent Hulls, however, they are just very thin. Thanks Again ! Uncle D

If you are getting crushing or bulging, you may need to adjust cam crimp pressure or depth. Secondly, unskived hulls are preferable for roll crimping. Short hulls like this are always a good candidate for roll crimps.
