The GAEP Case Trimmer is machined in tempered steel and a two-way blade offers a precise trim for your shotshell cases. This tool can either be used manually or with a drill press with a special protection ring and steel screw for connection. You can trim 3-1/2" hulls down to 2-7/8" with the adjustment screw completely inserted. If you remove the adjustment screw you can trim the hull to 1-7/8" (Note: This is with the mouth of the hull placed firmly against the top of the collar. You cannot trim a hull to any length between 2-7/8" and 1-7/8" with the adjustment screw removed as the cut will spiral.)
This tool is not compatible with 12ga 2-3/4" Winchester AA or Remington STS/Nitro hulls. As the tapered interior of the hulls does not allow the bale to be inserted far enough for the mouth of the hull to reach the blade.
This kit comes complete for 12ga
BACKGROUND AND HISTORY:
The shotshell industry of Northern Italy is likely the oldest in the world. With the founding of major gun manufacturers, such as Beretta in 1526, cottage industry businesses sprang up around these areas. Gunsmiths, toolmakers, and ammunition specialists of all types helped to fuel innovation and invention. Like Italian cuisine, art, and architecture, ammunition and toolmaking are powered by passion and innovation. We are proud to be GAEP's appointed distributor of their fine loading products for North America. Our line of GAEP products will continue to grow and expand.
GAEP is an artisan manufacturer. Each tool requires painstaking hand-made precision. Our goal is to maintain a regular stock of as many of their products as possible. However, the logistics of their artisan production and the reality of importation from Italy means that we will have stock gaps from time to time. The best way to assure your order fulfillment is to place an order or back order. You order will not be charged until your product ships to you.

Great trimmer! | 9/15/2020
I have been using these trimmers in 10, 12, 16, 20, 28 and 410 for a couple of years and love them. They are easy to set the dimension and super fast to trim just one quick rotation. They dont work easily with tapered hulls as the interior is too tight but on straight wall cases they are fantastic. Once set it only takes a couple of seconds to trim a case. The edge is clean and accurate. If you need to cut open a loaded shell buy one of BPIs other trimmers but for new hulls this is a fantastic tool.
