Detailed Description

OMV OTP Plastic Hull Roll Crimper, Round Edge .410

Steel roll crimper designed specifically for all shot loads in plastic hulls.A drill press operating at 900 RPMs with a small amount of lubricant applied to the crimper (our Ballisti-Slick works perfectly) is recommended for optimal performance.

Arbor sold separately.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON RPM: OMV crimp heads are optimized for operation at 900 RPM, which is the standard speed for their crimp head arbor. Many hand drills and some drill presses do not reach this rotational speed. If you experience crimping issues with OMV products, the first step is to verify that you are operating at the correct speed.

BACKGROUND AND HISTORY:

The shotshell industry of Northern Italy is likely the oldest in the world. With the founding of major gun manufacturers, such as Beretta in 1526, cottage industry businesses sprang up around these areas. Gunsmiths, toolmakers, and ammunition specialists of all types helped to fuel innovation and invention. Like Italian cuisine, art, and architecture, ammunition and toolmaking are powered by passion and innovation. We are proud to be an OMV distributor of their fine loading products for North America. Our line of OMV products will continue to grow and expand.

The most versatile 410 crimp finish die. 2/14/2024
Just gotta say the OTP die is probably the most versatile 410 die to have. It’s got the perfect depth, along with a nice taper. Be it finishing off a fold crimp or straight roll crimping your shell. I’ve got the slug one, and the BN3, which work fine, but the posts in the center are extremely deep and your shell needs to be stacked PERFECTLY or you’ll smash things or have a dish, or have a hole. So after trial and error, those work as designed and do excellent work. But if you want the most versatile option for roll crimping and fold crimp finishing? This is the one, IMO. Perfect depth with a very nice taper and does excellent roll crimps.
