GAEP BN4 Crimp Finisher 12ga
This is a rotational finishing crimper for folded star crimps. After the star crimp has been formed and set, this rotational Crimp Finisher beautifully forms the top edges of the cartridge and flattens the top portion of the crimp. The result is a lovely factory-style radius taper on the top lip of the crimp. Use with the Universal Arbor (sold separately) for hand drill or drill press along with a Hull Vise. Also for use in GAEP loading machinery. GAEP tools, unlike BPI's Roll Crimpers, perform better at higher RPMs. Apply a little Ballisti-Slick to the rim of the cartridge prior to using the crimp finisher for optimal performance.

All BN Series crimp finishers can also be used as roll crimpers and operate best at faster RPMs than the standard roll crimper. We recommend running your drill press at 1100 RPMs for maximum efficiency.*
* IMPORTANT NOTE ON RPM: GAEP crimp heads are optimized for operation at 1100 RPM, which is the standard speed for their motors. Many hand drills and some drill presses do not reach this rotational speed. If you experience crimping issues with GAEP products, the first step is to verify that you are operating at the correct speed.

| I was finishing my 6 star fold crimps with a GAEP Slug Roller. That combination was making the best looking finished product that I ever reloaded. Thats saying something since Ive been reloading since 1989. Well, Im always looking to improve my ammo and my research led me to the GAEP BN4 12 Gauge Roll Crimp. Long story short my shells went from great to perfect. You literally cant tell my reloads from factory ammo now. At least not in looks. But whats under the hood cant be matched by anything on the market. The BN4 leaves a beautiful bevel & a flat deep crimp. This roll crimper makes a genuine factory looking crimp. If I could attach pictures to this review I would show you. For the record Im using the New/primed Pearl Blue 12 gauge hulls **.* Win572 powder, a BP1253 wad with a ¹/¹⁶ 20 gauge cork spacer & a ¼ 20 gauge felt spacer over that. Then 1½ AKA 547 Grains of Lawrence Brand Magnum #7½ shot you dont need the ¹/¹⁶ cork with anything l#6 shot are larger and a brass BPI 6pt. crimp starter then the final crimp stage on my MEC Jr. Lastly I run a little gun oil soaked giant sized gun cleaning Q-Tip over the top of the loaded shells and then finish up with the GAEP BN4. BUY IT!!! USE IT!!! LOVE IT!!! You can thank me later but thank me you will. No, I dont work for BPI. No, thIs review doesnt make me a dime. I simply gave this review because its the truth.
