Crimping: We prefer using a Super Crown Crimp Starter on new tubes because they generally need a little extra crimp memory. Roll crimps also work very well on these hulls.

Surprisingly Good Hulls | 7/3/2022
I have been reloading since I was a teenager, in my 60s now, and I have to say that these Cheddite Hulls are very good. The one recommendation is to use the Super Crown Crimp Starter when the hull is loaded the first time. This will insure you get a perfect crimp, which these hulls are quite capable of achieving.

Excellent hull | 12/14/2017
Ive been reloading for 50+ years and only started using Cheddites in the past few years. I had experienced major reloading issues with Winchester HS hulls which were too stiff to make loading easy in my MEC Grabber. I do use the BPI Super Crimp Starter which makes a nice crimp. Moving forward I now use Cheddites exclusively for my 28 gauge and find them an excellent hull to load new as well as reloading. My Beretta OU loves them with no issues loading or extracting. Im amazed at how they look even after a few reloads unlike the burned and cracked case mouths of the Rem and Win hulls. They are relatively inexpensive and with the right load patterns perfectly. When my stock of Win HS hulls are gone they will be gone for good and I will use the Cheddites as long as they are available. Only wish that they came in more colors than RED as I like to color code my loads but that is the only color in which Cheddite makes 28 gauge.

Nice product -Long Thin brass issues | 10/29/2016
First bought these 9/2016 - loaded very nice. dropped into the chambers of my O/U Browning 725 with no problems. Shot both barrels with no problem. The problem due to thin brass expanding when fired. I had to use a bore stick to tap them out. Will not buy the long brass again.

Excellent hull | 1/3/2011
I have been using these hulls for my 28 for the past several years. They reload very well with good life and are versitile with a wide range of loads. Be aware that you will need a brass crimp starter for them if using a MEC press.
